eBike (Bionx) vs. Mountain bike

Posted by: admin  :  Category: electric mountain bike

As I’m crossing the street a mountain bike goes flying by on my left. I follow an older couple for a bit and then get back up to my normal speed. I easily catch up to the mountain bike which is doing about 30 km/h. When I pedal my eBike with assist turned on I can easily go 38 km/h without breaking a sweat. I actually have to slow down to follow with.

Too bad the camera’s memory filled up and the video was cut short cause I pass by him a few 100M down the road on an uphill segment.

The loud sound you hear is from the electric motor vibrating through the frame. The camera’s mic easily picks up the vibration.

bicycle/moped question (legal)?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: electric mountain bike

In NJ, NY, MA, DC, and MD: if i put a front electric hub motor on my bicycle, do I have to register it as a MOPED or can I ride it as a bicycle (following the appropriate rules for cycling). The laws look like they talk about engine displacement, but if you have an electric motor that still requires you to pedal and the bike has a standard mountain bike frame, can I ride it as a bike?

Also, wouldn't I be able to get away with riding it anyway since it's still a bike and I still have to pedal? besides, what would i put as the make, model, and VIN?

This is a great question because i have been asked about this before. Your right, engine displacement does play a big part as far as the law is concerned. You would have to check locally (obviously you have done some research) to see the laws concerning them. Where I'm from if your on 49cc's or less you dont have to have insurance but you do have to register it. Now your sayin its an electric motor so that makes it more confusing. The fact that it is "petal assist" does not make a difference, it is still considered a motor vehicle. My advise would be to ride it and not worry about it, just obey ALL traffic laws and you should be alright. If you still need more advise next time your neighborhood cops comes by just stop him and ask him what his opinion is. If he doesn't have a problem I wouldn't worry about it.

Physical science Questions?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: electric mountain bike

1.A bike rider does work to get to the top of a mountain. How could you use the law of conservation of energy to describe his trip down the mountain?

The rider uses energy to do work going up the mountain. This energy is converted to potential energy and then changes into kinetic energy on the way down.

The bike rider's stored chemical energy allows him to move down the mountain, storing more and more energy as he goes.

The bike rider gains electrical energy going up, which changes into electromagnetic energy on the way down.

2. All of the following are examples of electric current except _______.

charges flowing in one direction through a circuit
charges moving through a conductor
electrical discharge from a charged object
electrons moving through a copper wire

burning coal, burning plant wastes, or turning turbines with water?

Check each state individually, but I think All ebikes are officially ILLEGAL in NY.

I think MA, DC, And MD, follow federal HR727;
20mph max, 2 or 3 wheels, working pedals, 750 watts continuous maximum. Then it is are a bicycle, no registration needed. This is what most states follow, but they sometimes add some limitations, like helmets, not allowed on sidewalks, lights, etc.

Don't know about NJ,

lesbians, gays and bis what toys did you play with when you grew up?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: electric mountain bike

i played with action men, teenage mutant hero turtels, batman, lego and rode a mountain bike roller blades. i had toy dinorsaurs for christmas because i'd burst out crying if someone bought me a dolly (dollys are creepy and girly yuk!) my whole family got the message after my 'dolly tantrums' and only bought dinosaurs. i also had toy electric cars and in fact the only girly toys that i had was animal ones! when i was a kid i'd cut up worms, dig out ant holes, i had only guy friends (unless the girl was mad like me) i'd get given (on request) grasshoppers and snails for my birthday and anything that was an ugly insect. i fear insects these days though. OMG another thing i only and i mean ONLY wore tracksuits and trainers i hate the colour pink but i love pink now and i am feminine. when i watched films they were action packed and gorey and i liked x-men cartoons. HA! HA! i was such a gay kid!
what about you growing up and your childhood toys?
why is p.graph getting the thumbs down? i'm thumbing him up for that! OMG that sounded wrong….

FTW: you are my double!
angel: no worm killer these days, i've turned veggie!
yeah that's right: SPARKLES <<p*sses herself with laughter>>

Is it sad that I can't remember my childhood at all? I have a horrible memory. I do remember hanging out with my step-sisters a lot more than my brother. As a child, I had a fascination with butterflies. And that's all I really recall…
