This scooter is completely road legal in the UK despite looking like a ‘twist and go’ scooter. It is 100% electric Yes, 100% electric powered. Due to that it is emission free, almost no noise and no fumes or top ups required. Due to the scooter being electric powered there is no road tax to pay. As well as that in many cities there is free parking available. It is already very well priced costing just under £1,000, but until 30th September there is a special £300 off. The Street Scoota has a top speed of 30mph. Not blindingly fast admittedly, but for around town and busy city roads that should be fast enough. Some people have remarked that it feels like a 50cc bike to ride, but without the awful noise. The power unit is a 1400 watt unit providing plenty of torque to surge away from buses at the lights and weave round taxi drivers. Is there a lot of traffic where you live? Not any more. The Street Scoota is really easy to charge. It plugs directly into the mains socket. No messing with adaptors! Easy. You will get 40 miles riding from an 8 hour charge, however if you don’t have 8 hours available, just 3 hours will provide plenty of juice for a whizz round town. It works out to just 10 pence for a full charge. That’s pretty cheap.
If you want to know what that is per mile it works out to ¼p per mile. You could save a lot of dosh over a year. Plus it is easier to carry your stuff with you rather than on the train.
