with the smart-charger that comes with this powerful motorbike! This is a big enough bike that you will be seen in traffic and won’t risk being under-powered like so many of the electric scooters that barely reach 30 mph. This bike can climb hills too!! The powerful 3000 watt motor climbs well and has been tested up very long and steep mountain paths. www.motorcyclespeakers.net … “electric motorcycle” “e bike. e cycle” “electric cycle” “dot approved” “300 watt” “electric motor bike” motorbike … -

Update February 2009 Well, I am happy with this project except for one issue in order to service batteries and experiment with the bike, clear access to the batteries and electronics is needed. Unfortunately, removing the Ninja bodywork for this access requires removing the mirrors, front blinkers and windscreen, making the bike unsafe probably illegal to ride. The solution is some type of one-piece body that is easily removed and does not support the mirrors and blinkers. So back into the … -

A quick little tour around the streets of Peterborough Ontario Canada on an Electric Power Assisted Bike that requires no gasoline. Top speed 32-35km/h. Runs on 48V DC battery. Drive for 3 hours. Charges in 3 hours. Costs pennies a day. This cool looking electric motorized bike looks like a gas powered motorcycle but it is not. These bikes are very affordable means of transportation. You can get around the city or town you live in and do your part for the environment. If you listen closely you can heard a bird call at 2:15 in the video. Sorry about the wind noises. People flag me down as I cruise around town wanting to know more. I have repaired this make of ebike and many others. I am currently working on a homemade replacement controller to make it go faster. With built in solar charger, wireless alarm, radio and more.Duration : 0:6:54

This is the latest 2008 MaroneMoto MEX electric dirt bike that’s up for sale. Using a high-tensile steel frame, it’s one of the the sturdiest bikes around, measuring 63 inches in length with a 30inch seat height. Front and rear hydraulic disk brakes (dual piston caliper in the rear), hydraulic front fork, single adjustable shock absorber in the rear. The handle bar cover and seat are custom upholstered using genuine leather and premium vinyl. The motor is a permanent magnet brushed d.c. unit. It produces 3.8 horsepower at 24 volts. The controller is a 300 amp unit which delivers tons of juice. Two 35Ah 12 volt batteries are wired up with 4AWG wires and held in an aluminum box. Charger supplied is fully automatic and state of the art, which recharges the batteries in approximately 2 hours (discharged to 50%). Together, these components enable the MEX to quickly acelerate from zero to a top speed of approximately 45-50km/h, smoother than any other gas dirt bike rival. The horsepower rating may appear low, but the instant torque produced by the motor enables this machine to tackle virtually any terrain, hill or no hill. Similar in size to a 110cc, but much more comfortable. To top it off, no maintenance, no pollution, no smell or noise.
Our website will be up soon (some time in the spring) with more specs, pics, and vids. Look for MaroneMoto on google and you’ll find it. If you’re interested in purchasing one, or would like to see pictures, contact me at: leomnem@videotron.ca
You can also see more specs and pics on www.kijiji.caLooking forward to hearing some feedback.

Electric Dirt Bike Second Test
Filed under electric dirt bikesSep 12
First test in the dirt with 7 cells, sealed lead acid batteries. We ran the bike for 7 miles on this track before the batteries went flat. The gearing is a bit too low and when fully charged it is impossible to keep the front end down if you punch the throttle. We will increase the gearing and make some minor mechanical improvements before testing again. The bike currently weighs 290 lbs with these heavy batteries.Duration : 0:2:35
